  2. Hello, brother. Nice to meet you, I'm a complete novice. China I brew beer, or a few, a lot of knowledge need website to study abroad, at the same time, the family is a very, very big market, a city of 5 million people could be less than 100 enthusiasts.
  3. Hi, Mark here. Welcome to the forum and hope you gain the information you seek. Will help as much as possible. Have you brewed before? Beer preferences, what do you like?
  4. Today
  5. A Chinese boy, come here. Nice to meet you, like everyone to learn. English is not good, please forgive ~ 2019.810 I buy equipment, there are many places don't understand, I hope to make friends with all of you.
  6. .... the cradle helps when you remember to invert the keg...🙈
  7. Good comments and smart to do some keg trials for the Beerflo. I think Rob is fairly up to speed with those units and hasn’t reported any leak issues. He may well comment about that. Your right about brew friends and others not understanding that any wort can be used in the droid. Bought wort, all grain wort, any kit wort etc. This doesn’t restrict the unit and makes it versatile. There was even an official reviewer when first released that stated that the Droid was restricted to just the Brewprints. I don’t have/use a breerflo but I understand that the cradle for the droid does help and filling the keg in the upside down position has better results in the Beerflo pour. Regards Mark
  8. Well done!! Whilst I cant comment on the quality of my brews so far as they are still in secondary, in terms of function, footprint and fun I am thus far enjoying the droid. And despite what some brew friends say It doesn’t lock me into just brewprints and extracts and I am happy with a 10-12 litre output. The only thing I didnt like was the rubbish tap (red seal) which died after brew number 2. However I had already received my replacement tap (with white translucent seal) from Liam so there was no interruption to my brewing (excellent support I might add). As some know I also have a Brewflow and time will tell with how it goes. I dummied up a water keg with it last weekend and whilst it worked I did have a leak in the line (a common problem apparently so some diy prior to install is called for else your keg can start emptying into the Brewflo). Also seems like many have issues with too much foaming with mixed opinions as to whether it is the flow, carbonation or handling of the keg during setup. Cheers Terry
  9. Well I think the unit is that good (about 20 brews now including a few Coopers kit/Brewprint ingredients) that I’ve ordered another one from the Father’s Day special promotion. ($100 off and free shipping) - Rob Courtney played a part in this decision, 🤗 have to blame someone to swmbo. Can’t wait and will be putting my normal plastic fermenters away.
  10. Coopers have just released the new XPA in a can. $62.90 a carton of 24 x 375ml! After tasting the first Brewprint version I know what XPA I’ll be drinking.
  11. Yesterday
  12. I realise this post is a few years old however forum becoming fairly active now. “Deeks” is in/near Perth. Are you still brewing, hows it all going.
  13. Free shipping on again for short period, $200 spend required.
  14. Yes certainly great value Rob and for such high standards in quality. Spring, summer drinking is something to look forward too however nothing wrong with autumn, winter drinking.🍻
  15. A moments silence for the last of these beers. Granted, I did have it with a curry, which is always good but at 10 or so weeks secondary...for a $17 beer, pretty handy and will be bought again. Pale Ale, this and Pub Draught, 30 litres of beer for $50, ridiculous.
  16. I have always poured at 3 degrees since I enjoy my beer nice and cold
  17. I should add that I used the manual setup procedure as described in the “how to” videos on the BrewArt website or App....
  18. Terry confirmed that the droid only works on the 2.4ghz channel.
  19. Nearly 6 weeks in the keg. This is a strong finishing pale ale with hops and citrus to the palate. If you enjoy bitter ales then this will suit. Flavour is strong in the malt, citrus and fruitiness department. An enjoyable ale.
  20. Liam’s on the ball as usual. He thinks the following will be close:- 2 x E2 1 x E5 1 x X3 Y4 yeast (will give about 4.1%) Will let you know how it compares with the kit version (nearly always on tap).
  21. Last week
  22. An observatory, now that would be something to have. Viewing would be great up to about the 5th drink? 🥴🤪🙂
  23. Yeah from what my friend said it sounded like it was more expensive. Also single use so not great cost wise nor environmentally. My friend has no kids so has the funds and time to spend mastering his not small investment in brewing kit. On a side note he has also built his own astronomical observatory in his backyard. Complete with done and large enough to sit.... he has way too much spare time.
  24. No haven’t tried myself but as the norm is to can already carbonated beer apparently it can get messy as you have to “overflow” the can (overflow mainly froth) to eliminate oxygen then secure the top quickly. Have also heard some have canned before carbonation and added a sugar drop like with a bottle. For the home brewer I think it’s costly (also cans best bought in bulk) and messy however believe some brew club members have shared the cost and have all in canning days. U Brew It in some State branches have canning facilities but you have to brew your beer there.
  25. Good stuff, will be interested in your thoughts.
  26. You may recall I put one of these on a few weeks and and kegged it a week ago. I am looking forward to trying it and will aim to give it 4 weeks in secondary.
  27. It took me several attempts to connect my droid to wifi (trying auto and manual connections). Note the droid only operates on 2.4ghz (confirmed by Liam). I assume your ssid for 2.4ghz is broadcasting? Let us know how it goes. Cheers Terry
  28. Just wondering if anyone has tried canning their beer rather than bottling? If so what equipment was used and how successful was it? A friend in mine, who is an avid brewer, has a canning setup and his first several attempts at canning resulted in a rather messy garage.
