At 2 weeks: it's... A beer?

Like it's definitely "traditional English ale" which means it's something a bit different to normal Aus pub fare, and it's certainly not offensive, but it's not got the pizzaz I was expecting. I guess because it's my first one with no D or H addition. Gotta say despite the fact it sounds like I don't like it, I feel like I could very happily drink litres of it! Party beer for sure.

Ah well I'll give it a couple more weeks.

It is a very easy to drink beer

I think you will enjoy it more after a few. I think that’s the point of this beer, a down to earth Draught beer without the necessity to add flavour etc by dry hopping. Mind you, like the Coopers Pale Ale it could be a good base for a few hop experiments.

Six weeks in and I must remember for next year that I really like this as a winter beer ( I mean don't mind it in summer either). Just a nice, simple beer that you can have a few of because of the 4.5%. I did do an experiment chucking an X5 in this early days....can confirm that is a poor choice
