Jared King
@Barrelboy roger, will do. @Paul84 swing tops it is. I don’t want to tie up a keg for 3+ months. 👍

Jared King
Thought I might have put the yeast in the wrong order. Fears were unwarranted:

Jared King
Bottled the stout today. Spiked some with OP rum caus I didn’t have any bourbon, added chocolate cream essence to a few, and some port to the rest. One sugar lolly instead of two in the port so hopefully they don’t explode. 15 pet bottles and two snap locks for tasting tonight. Smell amazing... going to be hard to leave these on the shelf for a few months!

Smell amazing... going to be hard to leave these on the shelf for a few months! Used Pet bottles with a Guinness, started to lose the carb about 6 months. 4 months was just so, so good though. If I had known, I would have sunk a few more

I was so rooted that morning Edited March 24, 2020 by Rob Courtney
Captain 3 Droids
Yeah sometimes they just sneak up on you. Wake in the morning and think hell how many did I have yesterday, work out you have pigged 12 plus pints. (Need to keep those droids working).🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻

As it was it was a breakfast at home, when I got to work and a couple of Sausie Rolls for morning tea...and I was still a mess. After the large chips and gravy for lunch but...I hit my stride for the afternoon. Learnt my lesson but

Paul84
Man those RIS sound like they are going to be joy. I am slowly getting to finish mine . All at about 4 months , but as @Rob Courtney said the PET bottles do let them down in time. Next time I will use swing tops and hopefully hold the carbonation longer . Paul84
I am on the Amrut addition . My last of the night . I am feeling like this is my favourite . Its got all the choc/coffee flavors of the RIS but with the sweet and smokey flavor of the whisky . It is the complex of the ones i made The RIS is classic flavor , the Makers Mark had a nice sweetness with vanilla notes and the Amrut 😍😍😍

Paul84
Was tasty . 4 bottles are my head is still holding some of it in apparently 🤣 . Very thick and rich . Will have to get a hydrometer to see what the ABV is next time..because nameplate says 9.5% but they feel heavier now.
Paul84
So on my last bottle of RIS tonight 😭😭😭 , makes me sad , one because its my last and also because its the most expensive brew I can do . @Darran Haynes , @Jared King . How did you find it ? I will say I have been chasing RIS for a while through bottle shops
