Dustin Frothman
Decided to give my portable keg and tap system a go this afternoon. Drinking an all grain clone of Pirate Life’s South Coast Pale Ale. It’s the type of beer you’d serve to your non-craft beer drinking mates at a BBQ. i.e. there’s nothing wrong with it but I wouldn’t bother making it again. 2
Dustin Frothman
In the tradition of our founder and friend@Captain 3 Droids a Pisshead Sunday post. A short session yesterday after getting called into work … seems someone else thought it was too nice a day to bother working. 🤬 But I did crack the “Bolder XPA” keg after a month or so of maturing. It’s becoming a bit of a go to recipe for me for everyday drinking. Once again it’s turned out very nicely. 3

Rob Courtney
What a crap week. The father in law was cutting down trees and was hit by a branch which is probably going to be a life changing experience for him. All things going well he may be back home by Xmas ( I live out country, he was flown to the city). So I went out to the farm this weekend to free the tractor under the weight of a whole bunch of branches and trunks that he was caught under. A lot of chainsaw work, then moving of wood and finally a phone call to the man to find out how to start his beloved tractor and where he wanted it put. I have no doubt he itemised all that wood and will get shitty that I have thrown some of it on the bonfire pile So some beers as well as anti-inflammatories on the menu tonight. Actually feeling pretty good for all that work but that may be the beers and tablets talking.

Seriously though, my thoughts go out to him. And for you, well, nothing makes a man feel like he's earned a beer or 5 more than a good day wrestling a chainsaw. Cheers!
Rob Courtney
Reviving the great mans thread. I have had a grand evening just knocking back some pilsners/lagers. Got all my jobs done, another warm day, not as bad as last week and the beers have gone down well. A couple of new Lawnmower beers, then one that is six months old which was made with hop tea (still nowhere near where I was trying to get but really nice all the same) and some lagers to finish off, could really tie one on but yeah, having to turn up to work with a hangover was much easier 30 years ago.

What is this word "work" you speak of? Retirement now in it's 18th month, and going well.

I believe they think I'm joking but I may pull the "can only work Tues-Thurs " card and then hope they want to go the retrench route somewhere along the line in a few years. That's the plan anyways
