Hi All,

Just opened English Pub Draught after 8 weeks plenty of bubbles but no head. Bottled in Coopers bottles with 2 drops. Any comments would be welcome.

I haven't found it a super heady brew, but I wouldn't say it had no head. Maybe a slightly more vigorous pour is in order for the next one?

Agree, the English Pub Draught does not produce big heads to the Ale. Are your bottles really firm? Is there a noise of gas releasing when opening? Are there plenty of bubbles rising in the glass. If yes to all then perhaps look at glass cleaning (no use of detergents) or a larger pour as suggested above.

If no to any then Co2 may have leaked from the bottle. With the PET bottles it is important to really tighten the cap. After filling the bottle it is good to squeeze the air out whilst doing the cap up. The bottle will then be slightly “crumbled” but as it carbonates will become solid/firm. If in an hour or so of filling/squeezing the bottle goes back to the original shape (un-crumples) then the cap is letting air in thus leaking.
