GaryF
Hi all, I've just just purchased a Brewart and put down my first brew - the obligatory APA. My question relates to the DME. I've sprinkled it on top of the water (after the yeast) in much the same manner as the guy in the video, no faster or slower - doesn't seem like rocket science. 2 hours later I've come back and looked in the viewing glass and can see the DME is still floating on top of the water. I would estimate that of the 1.3kg, probably 1.2kg of it is still sitting there. Is this normal? If so, how long until it starts to submerge and dissolve? thanks! Beard Droid
Hi Gary, Welcome to the group, Don't stress every sounds fine, as long as you put the yeast on the water first the DME will dissolve in to the water in a day or two.
