hey guys

complete newbie here and very interested in the setup. I am looking to buy a used setup and just wondering if anyone can help me understand what to look out for while buying so that i know i am getting a working setup.

thanks

Welcome joshmachine. I can comment on the BeerDroid.

. Make sure there is no split/crack in the spout that the tap pushes into.
. No cracks in the viewing window at the front.

. The lid isn’t buckled, goes on square and easily locks into position

No heavy scratching inside the Droid.

If convenient and you could ask to be filled with water to check for leaks above and have it turned on.

Also power the unit up to check the programs and turn light on to ensure it works. Finally ask how many brews have been made (the fewer the better), ask about age of the unit (2 to 3 years or less preferably). Offer 10 to 15% discount on the asking price ( you never know how desperate some sellers are for the cash or wanting to just move stuff that they don’t want or use).
