Seal seems too long

Only just starting out with  my new BREWART system.

But looking at the seal on the lid, it’s popped out and trying to put it back on, it seems to be 1-1 1/2 “ too long.

Is this normal ??

Hi Scruffy and welcome. The seal should not be longer by that amount. The seal can stretched after continual removal/replacement but up to 1/2 inch only..

The best way to refit is to locate the seal on either side of the lid gap and then work it around to the opposite the gap doing each side a bit at a time.
