Esquibeerman
Hi all, Just started the Rapid River Ale print using the custom setting so the Dry Hop option could be selected. I set the ferment temp to 17c as per the print but it's started to cool to 12c. Should I change the ferment temp to 17c and assume I did something wrong?
BrewArt Team
G 'Day @Esquibeerman, The Rapid River Ale uses Y1 yeast, so I'd suggest cancelling the brewing program and selecting the following: Propagate: 22°C, Ferment: 18°C, Keg: 18°C, Store: 4°C, Dry Hop: Yes. This will make sure the yeast gets off to a good start. Happy Brewing! Cheers

Cheers I changed the fernent temp to 17c this morning, so it's ran the propagation zone at the right temp and is now 18 hours into the brew. Can I change the ferment temp to 18c now or should I start again? Thanks Carl 2 hours ago, BrewArt Team said: G 'Day @Esquibeerman, The Rapid River Ale uses Y1 yeast, so I'd suggest cancelling the brewing program and selecting the following: Propagate: 22°C, Ferment: 18°C, Keg: 18°C, Store: 4°C, Dry Hop: Yes. Will it still ramp even though I set it to 17c myself?

Will it still ramp even though I set it to 17c myself? This beer will not ramp up temperature, 17C should be warm enough for full attenuation. You could manually bump it up to 20°C near the end of fermentation if you'd like, but there shouldn't be any need.
