Just wondering if adding only one x5 to this brew would bring the abv down to 3.5% with out changing the taste

Yes that would drop it to 3.5% but it would make the brew a bit thin (watery). So I’d mix up 80g of Maltodextrin in some water and add to the droid with the other ingredients. This will give body, mouthfeel and help with head retention without increasing alcohol % or changing the taste.

Hi hate to be a pain but i forgot to mix the maltodextrin with water first put it in dry with the dry ingredients will this cause a problem ?

It shouldn’t cause a problem however it may not dissolve completely and just settle on the bottom with the trub.
