Why the difference in temp

The BrewArt FAQs makes mention of these.

Maximum delay from Droid to Server to App is 5 minutes if all is working well.

Difference in temperature is rounding, droid displays to the nearest degree, App displays to one decimal point, so 17.5C on the App is 18C on the droid.
