Peppercorn

I add cracked, dry peppercorns (Tellicherry is best) to my extra virgin olive oil with satisfactory results.  I suspect that the dried, whole peppercorns would take a very long time to add their flavor.  After I finish my experiments with thiols, I might try peppercorns in my beer.  It actually is a very appealing idea.
