Bottling with crown seal

I can't say it's ever been an issue for me. I bottle pretty much exclusively in long-neck bottles. I fill them straight from the tap, tipping so the beer runs down the neck, and leave about an inch or less (or 1-2cm) room below the cap. So I suppose there is some oxygen in there, but I've never noticed any effect on the brew. I opened a Belgian Strong the other day that was bottled about 10 months ago, and it was fine.
