Highlands IPA

Recommended Posts

Kegged this today (8/01/20). Surprised this not already logged here as this is my 3rd brew. Anyway a copy of the review report on the first one.

“ this one to the Brewprint ingredients on 19/4/19, kegged 28/4 into a stainless steel keg. Keg carbonated with co2 and first pour today 26/5. This brew is real pleasure drinking, refreshing with a slight sweet background and finishes with a lovely citrus flavour/aftertaste. I’ll be doing this one again.“

What's this one like without the dry hop addition?

I think I read on here somewhere that @Paul84 said it was a little like the Gage Roads "Sleeping Giant" IPA which if I recall correctly is more like your traditional English IPA than the popular American style most craft brewers are doing.

I'd be keen to give this one a try but would definitely lean towards dry hopping to get closer to the fruitier styles.

Hey mate , i havent actually done the highland IPA yet . Its in my brews to be done lol . The Narci citrus is more like a traditional British IPA IMHO. Has all the caramel base notes with the bitters from the hops . I enjoy it immensly 😄

Thanks mate, I must have had the two confused.

Got the Narci Citrus in the recent order and it's just waiting to be brewed.

Yeah the Narci Citrus was the first IPA i brewed and thought it was going to be like all the IPA you buy from the shops these days by my opinion was much more of a traditonal profile. A tasty brew. Cant wait to do the Highland though 🤘
