Captain 3 Droids
Brewed this one twice now, enjoyable drop for a simple ale, as per my BrewPrint review “Here we go again with another top recipe. Sweet, malty with a smooth bitter finish. Easy drinking, with a spice tang to it. ps that’s stewed plums and strawberries in the background. Captain 3 Droids
Thought I might give this another go so in the Droid today. Recipe calls for 2 x H7 (challenger) so either 40g of that but will consider 30g Styrian Gold & 10g Hersbrucker.

I haven't used Styrian Gold or Hersbrucker before but I really like Challenger in the Coopers Pale Ale base recipes so will have to give these a try. Good hops for these English styles, do a comparison on the hop chart.

I do like the "savoury" hops in those beers.

If your a traditional ale drinker then this is for you and would recommend the hop mix. Great mouthfeel, malt and hop flavour smooth finishing with a typical ace ale non lingering bitterness.
Captain 3 Droids
As stated really enjoyed this one and put it in the Droid again a few days ago. Now I enjoyed the previous hop mix however for some reason I changed the dry hops to 25g Challenger, 10g Green Bullet and 1 x H7 (challenger). Will be interesting.

Well it is very interesting and enjoyable. The hop combination I think is right there. The ale is malty with a biscuit about it. Great bitter finish with a pleasant after taste. Captain 3 Droids
Another week has past, just as enjoyable if not a bit more bitterness at the finish.

Captain 3 Droids
At 7 weeks has matured nicely. Brew this per recipe without additional hops. Easy drinking. Will change to the dimple mug for following drinks, better suited.
