Nicky Higgins
So I just put in the ingredients but I put the yeast in last is this going to be an issue?
Rob Courtney
Yeast first, always yeast first...don't stress too much though. Firstly, hi @Nicky Higgins welcome to the forum, ask any question you like, we are a community and whilst some of us rib each other everyone likes to help. From memory, if you have put the yeast in last, you'd need to sterelise/sanatise a spoon and give it a gentle stir. @Captain 3 Droids had the answer to this question a while back. As i said though, don't stress, beer making is all about experimentation and making mistakes but at the nd of the process you still have beer Edited March 20, 2021 by Rob Courtney
Rob Courtney
@Nicky Higgins yeah, just wait until another answer comes on this one, it won't harm to just leave it for an hour or two doing its thng
Nicky Higgins
Thanks for your help Rob like you suggested I’ll leave it for an hour or so and see if there’s any other suggestions. My other idea was to maybe add a little more water just so the yeast and powder ingredients were wet?
Dustin Frothman
Hi @Nicky Higgins and welcome. This is a great forum with lots of friendly and knowledge contributors. Sanitise a spoon and give your brew a very gentle stir. Just enough to get the yeast wet and allow it to rehydrate. Cheers.
Nicky Higgins
Thanks for your help it’s good to have support. so I just took off my lid to give it a stir and the top was crusty and quite solid, I think it maybe spoilt?
Captain 3 Droids
Nicky welcome. If you haven’t done it yet as said yeast first then all the other ingredients on top. If you have done the ingredients first then the yeast a gentle stir (with sanitised spoon as suggested is recommended.) No harm is done with the later. Cheers

Nah, it's fine. After you put the lid back on, don't open it again until the droid tells you too

No it isn’t spoiled if your spoon was sanitised, if it wasn’t then 50/50 but still could be good.
Nicky Higgins
Thanks for all your help. I did sanitise my spoon and just a gentle stir so fingers crossed it will be fine. I’ll learn from my mistake. Thanks again 1

Captain 3 Droids
It is certainly a learning process, however my input is - set up a successful routine. A cleaning regime, a sanitising regime. Know exactly what you are doing to achieve that great brew, and then don’t change it, , even with with bottling/kegging etc. It does work because you don’t have to thing, it’s a natural process.

Nicky Higgins
So I suppose it’s a 6 pack of Panhead Supercharge until I have a brew ready Thanks again for all your help today 👍

This isn't to say you shouldn't drink beers until 8 weeks, I'm drinking a Bavarian lager at 4 weeks that is just...well there is a couple of effins in the description. I guess what I am saying is temper your expectations at 2 or 3 weeks and keep brewing and build stock. There is no xtandard perfect, what you like is what is perfect and it will be trial and error. What the Brewart system does is makes it bloody easy to brew the beer, which is nice
