Captain 3 Droids
Just put this one into the droid. Interesting ingredient combination. Dry hop with 2 x D7 (50g galaxy) probably day 6. mmmmm....will do this rather than 25/30g and see.

Captain 3 Droids
It took 2 days 1hr for the droid to detect fermentation (suspect started a bit earlier) however I’m noting this length of time correlates with the age of the yeast. This brew’s Y1 yeast purchased late 2019 is dated 2017. No major issue but yeast dates support different EOF times for the same brew.

I will check the dates on all my yeasts now and ensure I use them in reverse chronological order.

Captain 3 Droids
Kegged The G-O-A-T Amber Ale today after 12 days fermentation. As mentioned yeast of 2017 took 2 days to register fermentation. BrewPint details state should be finished by 10 days. Not worried.
Dustin Frothman
@Barrelboy I put this one on today. Checked the yeast date beforehand as per your advice (all of mine are the same). It will be interesting to see how long fermentation takes. Did you get much venting on this one? I've affixed an A4 plastic pocket just in case. Captain 3 Droids
No it didn’t overflow but it tried, probably 12mm away from the top.
Captain 3 Droids
A review that I’ve put in, it’s so nice and Rob, try this away from lagers 😁👍👌🤗😂 A Goat to be Had Near on 6 weeks in the keg and just an exceptional ale. This brew is bitter sweet, great crisp finish with a strong sweet bitter aftertaste, so nice. The Galaxy hops work a treat, citrus passion fruit to the palate. Boy another BrewPrint ripper.”

Then I could have a few samplers Edited October 12, 2020 by Rob Courtney

Put this brew down just a moment ago with 2019 yea#t therefore expect about 9 to 10days?

Just checked my shelf and the first keg should be ready to to drink in 2 weeks.

Y1 is the US-05 yeast, so I’d go with that.

Used to work in Perth but my Celsius has escaped me (since home is US) but did the conversation...65 F is the temp in my basement so perfect. Appreciate it.

Yes it better be, you've been talking a lot of smack about this brew... I am giving away quite a few longnecks of this to my friend who had a baby a few months ago. Whilst this might sound a nice thing to do, it was her who came to me and said "Harvey Norman have marked down their display models of Brewart to...you should get them" and it was her who said when we went to a training course in Adelaide last year and we had 3 hours to our flight back "lets go to Lady Burra and get smashed"...so I owe her a few beers...even if we almost missed the flight home, given we got smashed. In saying that though, I'll keep at least a six pack to sample
